Program Description

Careers in Media Communications are in demand and PCC offers an affordable way for students to begin their education. The Broadcasting and Production Certificate provides essential skills in the field of television, cable, and subscription-based production, entertainment, advertising, and videography. Colorado is one of the top paying states for Broadcast Technicians according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Career Options

Entry level jobs for which students will be prepared include: Broadcast Technicians, Production Assistants, Advertising Promotions with the focus on cable and subscription based programming in the video as well as the motion picture industries.

The schedule below is a logical sequence for your academic pathway. Fall courses that will provide the foundation skills necessary to effectively gain advanced skills in Spring semester courses. For example, MGD 1002  is a critical component to the profession of media communications and knowledge gained here will be the groundwork to RTV 1002  Beginning Television.
