Program Description
This certificate provides students with a foundational knowledge of horticulture science and greenhouse management. Students will engage in plant science as it relates to horticulture. This includes plant classifications, life cycles, propagation, nutrition, soil properties, and climate. Greenhouse management studies incorporate economics, types of crops, disease control, water quality, regulations, pest control, employee protection, water quality, and media.
