Program Description

The Crop Production Certificate introduces students to foundational skills and concepts related to the production of agricultural crops. Students learn about the physical and chemical composition of soils as well as irrigation methods. Principles that affect growth are taught, such as the identification of weeds and applications of pesticides and herbicides. On a macro level, students explore how agricultural practices can impact global poverty and population issues.
