This degree provides training so that graduates will be able to develop, create, and modify general computer applications software or specialized utility programs. They will be able to analyze user needs and develop software solutions.
The CIS program provides training in basic technical computer and networking skills. You will study computer networking, programming, and databse technologies along with classes that teach the technical aspects of the internet and data communications. Note: Students interested in transferring to a baccalaureate program in Computer Information Systems should refer to the Transfer Degree section of this catalog.
